What does one do when he doesn’t know where he comes from? When he doesn’t know who his mother was but has heard several stories of who she probably was? When there are seven men who call you “son”? Nothing, really, unless the boy is as curious as Faltu. He refuses to accept the anonymity of his identity and sets on a journey of tracing his roots. Little does he know that en route, it will uncover ugly truths and deceiving faces. Through these turbulent times, his loving companion Tuktuki would render all the support that he needs. But is she strong enough to face the harsh realities herself?
Faltu won several awards at the BFJA (Bengal Film Journalists Association, one of the most prestigious in India), including Best Film, Best Director and Best Actress. After a round of many film festivals, Faltu seems to have reached out to another big world, way beyond his tiny hamlet in remote Bengal.
