Taking forward the vision of Prof. Chaudhuri, Shubho has been with Planman since its inception. A member of the core team that founded Planman in 1996, Shubho has handled all the Planman Motion Pictures releases and projects since establishment. He is a long-practicing HR consultant to the top management Blue Chip Companies with Planman Consulting and also the Dean – Center for Planning and Entrepreneurship at The Indian Institute of Planning and Management. Planman Motion Pictures was instituted in 2002 with Strokes & Silhouettes, which created a new benchmark in film distribution as it was the first ever regional acquisition by Sony Pictures in India. He takes care of all the strategic and creative decisions at Planman Motion Pictures. From scripts and casting to production and marketing, he leads his young team towards achieving the vision. When he is not busy with films, he is seen teaching at the Institute, grooming the leaders of tomorrow.
Viraj Kalra
Vice-President, Marketing
Viraj, an MBA in Marketing and HR, has been with the group since over 8 years. He has always been a hard and smart worker, which explains his quick rise to the top at such a young age. From a senior consultant with Planman Consulting to the his current position of Marketing Head at Planman Motion Pictures, Viraj has always been a fabulous performer and a bundle of energy. He has tremendous experince of working in the corporate brand management sector, which gives him an edge in the film marketing sector in today's very organised and corporate Indian Film Industry. At work, he is known for his fabulous wardrobe and collection of ties. When anyone runs out of dressing-up ideas, they know whom to ask!
Sreesha Nair
Head - Production And Collaborations
Sreesha holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and PG in Mass Communication. Assistant Director for Rok Sako To Rok Lo and Executive Producer of Mithya and I’m 24, Sreesha is an important reason behind our budgeting success! She has taken the pressure of handling an entire film’s production by herself. There is nothing that misses her sharp auditing eyes, not even a penny overspent on a fancy film costume.
Karun Punchhi
Head - Production And Collaborations
After completing his Post Graduation with a specialization in marketing and finance, Karun first handled the production of Dosar. After its success, Karun went on to manage The Last Lear and Sunglass as well. An Executive Producer who always managing to keep that smile bright even on the toughest phase. On his sets, every penny is accounted for, every minute is utilized. A director’s delight, his dexterity on the sets is unbelievable. Our bet is that you won’t find a man more soft spoken than him!
Nitin Pandya
Executive Producer
An MBA in Finance, Nitin puts all his financial wizardry to good use in his work. Not only does he manage film production, but also maintains a massive numerical database in the deep recesses of his mind. He was the Line Producer of Sunglass and The Last Lear. He is also our logistics expert, knowing exactly how many posters and prints should reach where at the right time! Within the team, he is known as “The Kolkata Specialist” because you ask him for a post office, restaurant or studio in the city, and he will tell you within 2 seconds!
Arati Raval-Pandey
Head - Talent And Festivals
A Bachelor in Management Studies, Masters in Commerce, PGDBM from IIPM and a Film Appreciation student of the FTII, Arati heads Talents and International Film Festivals at Planman Motion Pictures. Being an MBA (Finance) Gold Medalist, she had all the career choices open but she chose to follow her passion: Cinema. She is a Writer and is currently developing her own Feature Film script. She reads the scripts that come in at the company. Her aptitude for cinema gives her a practiced eye in identifying fresh talent. Arati works closely with Shubho in deciding which films to greenlight. She is constantly looking around for new talents in writing, music, direction and the likes, taking forward Planman Motion Picture's vision of working with promising new talent. Arati has also been Assistant Director to Saurabh Shukla on the feature IM 24.
Arati has a flair for languages and is an avid world cinema fanatic. You will usually see her strutting around at film festivals, watching films, meeting people and looking for newer, more exciting ways to do things. She also develops all the marketing communication for the company. Arati is our in-house cinema directory, an easy call away for all our cinema queries! She is our human English Dictionary and if we could, we would present her our own Booker Prize!
Diana Fernandes
Vice President
After completing her M.B.A with specialization in Marketing from IIPM – Mumbai, Diana Fernandes started her career at ICPAR as a Junior Consultant in 2003. With core competence in Media Consulting, she was involved in Media Planning & Strategizing for Key Accounts (PAN India), Retaining & Converting Prospective Clients, Conceptualizing & Executing Non-media initiatives & tie-ups. She has been awarded as the Best Performer at ICPAR for 2 consecutive years. Her Strong Media relations with acumen to strategize, conceptualize and execute PR campaigns by optimizing the client & media expectations resulted in long term association with Clients such as Nilkamal Ltd., Zodiac Clothing Co., Electrolux India, Portico New York, Sagem Mobiles, Mitashi Edutainment, Guess Watches, Puma, Sonodyne International, Bisazza SpA, R.A.K. Ceramics, Villeroy & Boch and many more. She has also been involved in the Media planning & execution of Planman’s Film & Entertainment Division – Planman Motion Pictures as well as handled International Concerts such as MLTR & Air Supply in Mumbai & Bangalore.
